Release 10.1A: OpenEdge Getting Started:
Installation and Configuration

Removing an OpenEdge installation on UNIX

In most circumstances, to remove the OpenEdge installation from your machine you can remove the installation directory. However, in Release 10.1A, a new procedure has been added that allows you to verify that the OpenEdge Adapter for Sonic MQ and the OpenEdge Adapter for Sonic ESB are properly uninstalled.

The following procedure describes how to uninstall either of these Sonic products. The uninstall of these Sonic products must occur before you remove your OpenEdge installation.

Note: This procedure only pertains to those installations that initially added either or both the OpenEdge Adapter for SonicMQ and the OpenEdge Adapter for Sonic ESB.

To perform the uninstall of these Sonic products:

  1. Type the appropriate command on the command line, as shown in the following examples:
  2. To access the SonicMQ uninstaller:

    cd $DLC/sonic/MQ6.1

    To access the SonicESB uninstaller:

    cd $DLC/sonic/ESB6.1

  3. Execute the following on the command line for either Sonic component:
  4. uninstall.sh -silent

The -silent option allows you to run the uninstall in a command window.

To remove the entire OpenEdge installation, remove the OpenEdge installation directory.
